BLYTHE – Blythe residents are encouraged to get coronavirus tests this week at the Blythe community testing site before the site moves to Coachella. The last day of testing at this location is Saturday, June 20.

The testing site is at Doris Morgan Community Center in Blythe, 445 N Broadway. Testing is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Appointments are required and can be made online at LHI.care/covidtesting or by calling 888 634 1123.

“Testing is for everyone, regardless of immigration status or insurance, available for anyone with or without symptoms, and it is free,” said Supervisor V. Manuel Perez. “By getting tested, you are helping keep your family and our community healthy.”

The Blythe testing site began operating June 10 and will continue through June 20. The site is operated by the State of California, in partnership with Riverside County.

There were 342 tests conducted during the first week of testing at this location, June 10-June 13. Up to 135 tests can be performed at this site per day.

The Blythe community testing site is one of 15+ community testing sites throughout Riverside County. Riverside County residents are also getting tested at pharmacies, community health centers, nonprofit health clinics, hospitals, private testing sites and urgent cares.

After Saturday, the testing site will move to Bagdouma Park Community Center in Coachella, 51 251 Douma St., and open June 23.
