The Indio Station serves the eastern half of the Coachella Valley's unincorporated area including Bermuda Dunes, Chiriaco Summit, Desert Beach, Desert Haven, Flowing Wells, Indio Hills, Mecca, North Shore, Oasis, Salton, Sun City, and Thermal. The Indio Station also provides law enforcement services for the City of Coachella, City of La Quinta and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District.

Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District (SCVCSD) |
DISTRICT OVERVIEWThe Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District (SCVSD) is located in the southeastern portion of the Coachella Valley. It encompasses approximately 139 square miles and includes the unincorporated communities of Mecca, Oasis, Thermal, and Vista Santa Rosa. It is governed by a Board of Directors and contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for supplemental law enforcement services.
SERVICES:
Environmental Services
The SoCoValCSD contracts with Burrtec Waste Industries, INC. to collect and dispose of residential and commercial solid waste. This service includes curb side service and special pick ups for projects and construction.
The SoCoValCSD has supplemental programs that include community clean up programs and graffiti removal. The Environmental Waste/Graffiti Hotline number is: 1-888-472-3488
Located at Avenue 63 and Highway 111 is the TOM Site which is open on the second saturday of each month from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. This site accepts hard to get rid of residential refuse from residents of the District.Proof of residency is required. Hazardous waste such as paint, oil, acid, batteries and tires with rims are not accepted.
There is mandatory residential curbside service within the District. Unless you have a pre-paid dump card from Riverside County, you must apply for curbside service at your residence or business.
Law Enforcement
The SoCoVal CSD contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff's Office for supplemental law enforcement services. The SoCoValCSD law enforcement team is provided to supplement the existing law enforcement currently within the District.
