La Quinta Senior Center Shamrock Dance
PALM DESERT - Members of the Fourth District Youth Advisory Council (YAC) will be putting on their dancing shoes before they visit the La Quinta Senior Center this Friday for the Shamrock Dance at the La Quinta Center.
For the past few years the 4th district Youth Advisory Council from Supervisor Roy Wilson’s Office has been partnering with the La Quinta Senior Center to host “senior” dances. The Shamrock Dance will be held from 6:30pm to 9:30pm Friday, March 9th. The theme, obviously, is St. Patrick’s Day. There is a $2 fee that covers refreshments, photos, the musical styling’s of Les Douglas and the Sounds of Forever
“The Senior dances are by far one of the student’s favorite projects” says Noel Loughrin, Youth Coordinator “Our students are building inter-generational ties with the seniors from our community, and having fun doing it”
The La Quinta Señor Centre is located at 78-450 La Fonda in La Quinta. There is plenty of parking and early registration is advised. To register you can call Caroline at (760)564-0096.
