The Mecca Landfill will be Open for Bulky Waste and Other Trash for One Day Only
MECCA - The Mecca Landfill will be open for bulky waste and other trash for one day only on Saturday, October 13. Bulky waste means large, heavy or otherwise difficult to handle items, including, but not limited to, stoves, refrigerators (with Freon removed), water tanks, water heaters, washing machines and furniture. "Bulky waste" does not include large tree stumps, oversized tires, railroad ties, burnt wood or ash residue.
The dump will be open from 8 a.m. till 4:30 p.m., and a current Riverside County disposal use permit car will be required for admittance. You may purchase a permit in advance at the Oasis Landfill gate. Permits will also be sold on the day of the event, October 13, at both facilities for a minimum fee of $30—check or money order only. Cash will not be accepted.
