"CELEBRATE RECOVERY" This Saturday, Sept. 29 In Palm Desert
PALM DESERT - It’s billed as the 1st Annual Celebrate Recovery in the Desert, and it’s designed to bring a heighten awareness to the process of recovery and healing . . . from substance abuse to child abuse.
The event gets under way Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7 a.m. at Palm Desert Civic Center Park. It starts out with a 5k walk . . . and continues with music, guest speakers, food and more fun. Every one who participates in the 5k walk gets a free T-shirt.
The event is sponsored by Prevent Child Abuse Riverside County, Betty Ford Center, KMIR 6, Riverside County Mental Health Substance Abuse Program and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, among many others.
