Community Photo Contest Set For New Fourth District Website
FOURTH DISTRICT - Supervisor Roy Wilson has announced a photo contest for the
Fourth District website pictures representing the various communities of the desert area. Winners
will have their community photo posted on the Fourth District website, and they’ll also get a photo
credit and a certificate of appreciation from Supervisor Wilson. Only recent digital photos are
eligible, and they must be submitted electronically.
"I think the main reward for sending a photo for use on our website is the satisfaction of
having the photographer’s community well-represented by the picture,” said Supervisor Wilson. “We’v
e attempted to represent each community with our own photographic work, but we think we may have
some artists out there who can do a better job."
The contest is open for an indefinite period. Submissions should be emblematic of the theme
of the community or a highlight of the area. For example, while there is much more to Chiriaco
Summit than the Patton Museum and the iconic statue in front of the building, they certainly
represent a highlight of the community.
"We want our new website to be as good as it can be," said Supervisor Wilson. "And we think
residents can contribute to it."
Use of photographic materials is strictly a consensus decision of Supervisor Wilson and his
staff.
The website and existing photos can be seen at

Mafelix@rcbos.org.
