Here's Your Chance to Get Rid of Household Hazardous Trash

You want to get rid of old batteries or pesticides or motor oil, but don’t know how to do it in an environmentally responsible way?

Well, we’ve got good news for you. The County of Riverside’s Household Hazardous Waste Program schedule for the first half of 2008 is ready for you to peruse.

And the good news is you can get rid of just about anything around the house… provided you’ve used up as much of it as you can on the uses it was intended for. You can dispose of ammonia, turpentine, mercury-containing devices, old televisions and computers, pool chemicals . . . and a whole lot more.

For the types of hazardous waste, dates and times of the service, check out the comprehensive website at:

It’s pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about household difficult-to-dispose of items.

And, on behalf of the environment, we thank you for utilizing this service and disposing of these items properly.
