Bill Densmore Retires After 34 Years With Vet's Services
One of the County of Riverside's longest-serving officials is retiring after 34 years of service to the County's veterans.
Bill Densmore, who joined the Riverside County Department of Veterans Services back in 1973 and was elevated to the position of Director of the Department in 1989, will be recognized by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday for his outstanding service.
Under Densmore's leadership, the Department of Veterans' Services has generated more than 100 million dollars in pension, disability compensation and education payments to veterans and their families.
Densmore personally implemented and contributed to a remarkable list of programs to honor he service of venterans.
In cooperation with the Board of Supervisors, Densmore has been the driving force behind the County of Riverside being "forever faithful" to its veterans.
