YAC Spreading Holiday Cheer for Children Living in Foster Care
Students from the Fourth District Advisory Council are bringing a little holiday cheer to children living in foster care. The local YAC members will join "For The Children" Chapter #105 of the California State Foster Parents Association to spread the holiday spirit.
During this season most teens spend time trying to decide gifts they will request from their parents. Youth Advisory Council members worked diligently to acquire gifts to give away to children that may not otherwise receive presents. YAC members have collected a variety of gifts for children ranging from 5 months to 17 years old.
The festivities will be held on Saturday, December 15, and will include refreshments, arts and crafts, games, entertainment and gifts at no cost. Plus that jolly old elf Santa Claus plans to be there.
"Youth from our council have proven to be very caring and concerned with the well-being of foster kids living in the Coachella Valley," said Youth Advisory Council Coordinator Noel Loughrin.
