Harmony Kitchen in Blythe Looking for Volunteers
Harmony Kitchen, fresh off an extremely successful Thanksgiving dinner, is appealing to volunteers to help feed the needy by keeping the Kitchen open five days a week, instead of the current Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule.
The non-profit organization fed approximately 100 people on Thanksgiving Day, thanks to some very generous food donations and the volunteer service of local residents, and Harmony Kitchen President Bob Weete says he'd like to see that kind of volunteer spirit alive on a permanent basis.
Weete says they need a half dozen people or so each weekday to work from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m., feeding lunch to those who would otherwise go hungry.
