Annual Outlook Conference on Tap in Blythe March 5
The Palo Verde Valley Outlook Conference this year at the Colorado River Fairgrounds features a highly recognized expert in community branding as the guest speaker. Roger Brooks is founder of Destination Development, and co-author of "The 25 Immutable Rules of Tourism."
The conference, hosted by the Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce, the Riverside County Economic Development Department and the City of Blythe, attracts interested officials from local, county and state government, and it offers the Palo Verde Valley an opportunity to promote itself to outside interests. Tourism promotion and business attraction and retention are key goals.
A golf tournament is held each year, and cost of entry is $60 per person, including cart. Luncheon at the Colorado River Fairgrounds is $25 per person. Pre-registration for the March 6th event runs through Thursday, February 28.
There is also a "Valley Tour" which leaves the Fairgrounds at 9:30 a.m. and returns in time for the 11:45 luncheon.
