Coachella Valley Farm Tour Set for Monday, Jan. 28 (SOLD OUT)

Have you ever been down an East Valley farm road and wondered what that beautiful crop on the side of the road was?

Have you ever wondered what the top cash crop is, or the crop with the most acreage, or what the difference is between a parsnip and a rutebega?

Well, you've sure got an enquiring mind, then.

Maybe you can still get aboard the Coachella Valley Farm Tour set for Jan. 28, from 8 a.m. till 3 p.m. Cost of the "AgVenture is $50, and if that seems like a lot of lettuce—sorry, we couldn't resist, consider: The tour allows the layman to get a bit of an education on the second-largest industry in the Coachella Valley. Tour participants will visit local farms, meet and talk with local farmers, lunch in a date garden, and learn a few of the commonly misunderstood facets of desert farming.
