Thermal Residents' Input Sought on ‘Design Guidelines'

Thermal residents are encouraged to attend the upcoming Thermal Community Council meeting at the Jerry Rummonds Senior Center to help guide the future development of their community.

There are several exciting capital improvement projects in the planning and development stage for the community, including the Thermal Sheriff’s Station and Aviation Education Center, the Thermal Fire Station, a major street improvement project, and housing developments. This is an opportunity to make your voice heard by participating in the “Thermal Design Guidelines” discussion.

The Guidelines will help the community establish an aesthetic and orderly development process.  Consultants for the county have been working with residents and property owners to develop a theme for the community, with colors, landscaping and other design elements which promote harmonious development.  The goal—with input from the community—is to maintain and enhance the beauty of the community and to develop entry monuments which help to establish community identity.

The Thermal Community Council takes up that subject, and others, at their next meeting on Monday, January 28 th at 6 p.m. at the Jerry Rummonds Senior Center, 87-229 Church Street .
