P.S. Film Festival Is History-Or Is It?

The final film has been screened and the hundreds of journalists have gone home, but the final story of the hugely successful 19th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival is still to be told.

As former Mayor Sonny Bono had envisioned two decades ago when he founded the Fest, its impact on the economy of the City of Palm Springs and consequently the entire Coachella Valley could be a bonanza.

The City plans to use the great PR as a promotional tool for future conventions, meetings and tourism that could add millions of dollars to the local economy.

The Awards Gala, in particular, was a beacon to the rest of the nation and even the world,
