Palm Springs' VillageFest Picks up Award
Many Coachella Valley residents know how much fun VillageFest is on Thursday evenings in Palm Springs. Did you know the that its official logo recently picked up a first-place award at the CalFest Convention 2008?
The two-state competition (Nevada also participates) features some of the biggest and best special events, including parades, festivals and the like, so picking up the blue ribbon is pretty special.
VillageFest, in case you're a newcomer to the desert, turns Palm Canyon Drive into a pedestrian food, entertainment and flea market paradise each Thursday from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. It's certainly worth a visit if you haven't done it yet.
