Sheriff Stan Sniff is Parade Grand Marshal
Stan Sniff is not only the sheriff . . . now he’s a marshal.
Fourth District Supervisor Roy Wilson announced the selection of Sheriff Sniff today as the grand marshal of the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival, which takes place on Presidents Day, Monday, Sept. 18.
“I can’t think of a more fitting person to be our grand marshal,” said Supervisor Wilson. “Stan is a Coachella Valley native, and the leader of the state’s fourth largest law enforcement agency.”& amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; amp; lt; /p>
The Parade gets under way on Miles Avenue at 10 a.m. on the Monday after the opening weekend of the Date Festival, which runs this year from Feb.15 through Feb. 24.
