Community Recognition Awards Still Seeking Nominees
The Chamber will continue to process nominations through April 11 for Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Chamber Member of the Year, Special Recognition and Good Samaritan Awards.
A short summary of the person or group nominated is necessary, says Chamber CEO Jim Shipley.
“I do have some suggestions already, but I can always use more,” says Shipley. “I'll take care of the categories unless you want to be specific. Groups and/or individuals are welcome. The more, the merrier!”
Anyone is eligible to nominate; for more information, contact the Chamber at 922-8166 or Blythecoc@yahoo.com, or stop by the office at 201 S. Broadway.
The April 23 festivities get under way at 5 p.m. with dinner, and the ceremonies start at 6. The venue once again this year is the Blythe Community Center, 455 N. Broadway.
