Palm Springs: 70 Years Old, and Ready to Party
VillageFest in downtown Palm Springs will have additional oomph next Thursday, April 17, as the City celebrates its 70th anniversary.
Born on April 20, 1938, the City plans to celebrate its birthday in a big way just a few days early. Hey. VillageFest seems like the perfect place to throw a party, no?
As part of the celebration, there will be cake, presents and a few surprises, just like any birthday party, but septuagenarians will receive some special treatment. Anyone who attends and can prove that he or she was born in 1938 will receive a commemorative lapel pin or ballpoint pen.
And that’s just the start of it. For more information, check out the story on the City’s webpage story --> PSbirthdayINFO.
