New Thousand Palms Code Enforcement Office Opens Soon
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors, along with the Departments of Code Enforcement and Facilities Management will be cutting the ribbon on the new Code Enforcement offices in Thousand Palms Wednesday, April 23.
"This new facility is one more example of the commitment of the County of Riverside to its unincorporated communities," said Fourth District Supervisor Roy Wilson. "With its new mid-valley location, Code Enforcement is more strategically place to quickly deal with problems throughout the region . . . and Thousand Palms is the beneficiary of that strategic location.
The new Code Enforcement office will be staffed by 25 personnel, from three different Code Enforcement divisions: Neighborhood Enforcement (that's your garden-variety Code Enforcement), Special Enforcement (which targets specific issues like illegal dumping) and Community Improvement, the Department's outreach arm which helps communities comply with county codes and improve property values on a voluntary basis.
The new Thousand Palms offices will be open 8 to 5, and services to the public will be offered in both English and Spanish. The location will serve all unincorporated communities in District 4, from Desert Edge all the way to the Arizona border.
The satellite office in Coachella will remain open to serve the easternmost regions of the district.
The phone number for the new Thousand Palms office is 343-4150.
