Free Screening of “The Women” in Palm Desert
On Wednesday, June 25th the Palm Springs International Film Society will present the next film in the “Drama Queens” series of free public screenings - George Cukor’s classic film “The Women”, starring Joan Crawford, Norma Shearer and Rosalind Russell.
The screening will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Indian Wells Theater on the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus at 37-500 Cook Street in Palm Desert.
Annie Gregory, filmmaker and instructor for Divas Direct: Film Workshops for Girls will introduce the film and moderate a post-screening discussion.
Admission is free ($4-per vehicle parking fee).
The series is a part of the Palm Springs International Film Society’s Community Outreach Program sponsored by Bank of America.
The use of the Indian Wells Theater has been partially underwritten by the Friends of the Palm Desert Campus.
