Rivco’s EDA Chief Elected to Statewide Panel

Robin Zimpfer, Riverside County's Assistant Executive Officer for Economic Development, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED). The election is for a 3-year term.

Zimpfer leads the County's Economic Development Agency, a team of 400 operating with an annual budget of nearly $400 million. She'll now also work with a statewide network of economic development experts to build healthy communities by helping expand, retain, and attract new business to California.

"I'm extremely pleased and proud that Riverside County's leadership is recognized on the state level," said Fourth District Supervisor Roy Wilson, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

"Robin's expertise in the field of economic development, business attraction, business retention, and business expansion is well known throughout the state."

CALED has 700 members statewide. These members represent cities, counties, state and federal government, and the private sector. Zimpfer is the highest ranking woman on Riverside County's organizational chart.

She has earned Masters and Bachelors degrees from the California State University at San Bernardino, and is active in community affairs and philanthropic activities across the region.

She resides in the City of Riverside with her husband Paul Mc Donnell. The couple has four adult children and two grandchildren.
