Applicants sought for Palm Springs Board and Commissions
Palm Springs residents have an opportunity to help lead their community by becoming a member of one of the City Council’s boards and commissions. Residents are needed to fill openings on the Airport Commission, Personnel Board, Rent Review Commission, and Resource Conservation Commission.
The following seats are available:
- One term on the Airport Commission ending June 30, 2011
- One term on the Personnel Board ending June 30, 2011
- Two terms on the Rent Review Commission ending June 30, 2010
- Two terms on the Rent Review Commission ending June 30, 2011
- One term on the Resource Conservation Commission ending June 30, 2009
- One term on the Resource Conservation Commission ending June 30, 2010
- Four terms on the Resource Conservation Commission ending June 30, 2011
Applicants must be Palm Springs residents and registered voters in the City.
Persons interested in serving should submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office. Applications and information also can be obtained online by going to the City’s Web site at www.palmsprings-ca.gov. Additional information about the various boards and commissions, what they do and when they meet may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office at 323-8204. Residents can apply for a maximum of two seats.
The final membership selection will be made by the City Council.
