14th Annual Valley Wide Employment Expo Set For Sept. 11

The 14th Annual Valley Wide Employment Expo is right around the corner.

Truth in advertising compels a caveat: there are in all likelihood going to be more job seekers and fewer job offers than in years past . . . but that is no reason to stay away. It’s still one of the best opportunities to land a new job in the desert.

Each year thousands of job seekers interface with more than a hundred employers who are trying to recruit qualified individuals for their hiring needs. The Expo is held each year at the beautiful Palm Springs Convention Center centrally located in downtown Palm Springs.

Last year over 175 employers participated. Employment opportunities ranged from entry level positions to upper management including positions in hospitality, retail, banking, gaming, education, county, state, and federal government agencies, and much more. Over 5,000 job seekers attended the EXPO last year.

Presenting sponsor, The Desert Sun, will publish and insert the official program in the newspaper and in the Desert Weekly prior to the event. Programs will also be handed out at the door. All participating employers will be included in the program.

Admission and parking are free. Riverside County Human Resources will provide computers with internet access for completing on-line applications. Free copying services for resumes and applications will also be available.

The event runs from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. at the Convention Center, 277 N. Avenida Caballeros in Palm Springs. For more info, click here --> www.desertjobexpo.com.
