North Shore Hosts Presentation on Historic Yacht Club
The next meeting of the North Shore Community Council on Monday, September 15 will feature a presentation on the North Shore Yacht Club restoration project.
The County of Riverside Facilities Management Department will be making the presentation and seeking community input on the emerging plans. The 50-year-old structure, one of the most important historical features in the eastern Coachella Valley, was designed by renowned architect Albert Frey. Frey's work not only is a feature of many prominent Palm Springs buildings, but in fact was a leading reason for the 21st Century emergence of the "Mid-Century Modern" theme in new building design in the resort city.
The community is invited to come out and here the presentation at the North Shore Community Center, 99-085 Corvina Drive. The meeting gets under way at 6 p.m.
