Rivco Treasurer Paul McDonnell Accepts Finance Post
Riverside County Treasurer-Tax Collector Paul McDonnell has announced his intention to resign effective Nov. 6, in order to accept the position of County Finance Director.
McDonnell will have served as Riverside County’s Treasurer for almost exactly 10 years—he was elected in 1998.
“Paul has been instrumental in protecting Riverside County’s financial assets during some troubled times,” said Fourth District Supervisor Roy Wilson, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. “While he leaves a void in his elected position, it is reassuring that he will step into his new role at a time when we really need his expertise.”
Supervisor Wilson said that the Board of Supervisors will discuss replacing McDonnell at tomorrow’s regular board meeting.
