Bermuda Dunes Overlay Plan on Thursday Night Agenda

Residents of Bermuda Dunes are invited to attend the Thursday night meeting of the Bermuda Dunes Community Council, an especially important meeting because of a presentation of the Bermuda Dunes Overlay proposal that County Planning has been working on for the last few months.

The Planning Department has drafted an ordinance with the help of a committee that consisted of residents that were in favor as well as those opposed to additional rules guiding property maintenance in the community. Among the items considered in the Overlay ordinance:  parking, front yards, signs, decorations, etc.

Community Council members Lee Miller and April Young Acker were on the Overlay committee.

The public is invited—encouraged—to attend this important meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at the James Monroe Elementary School on Avenue 42 and Yucca Lane.
