Open House/Ribbon Cutting Set for Coachella Affordable Housing
RANCHO Housing Alliance, Inc. will hold a morning ribbon-cutting and open house event on Wednesday, Oct. 29at 10:00 am, to celebrate the completion of its first affordable living Senior Apartment project.
Developed in partnership with the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Coachella, the 12 unit complex of 1 bedrooms units is a collaborative effort to provide the City’s first affordable living for low-income seniors. The project is scaled as a model for infill development in existing neighborhoods, centrally located to stores and public services, and meet a known but undefined demand for senior housing. Each unit is designed for “age in place” living with wider doorways, ADA showers and bathrooms, lever handles plus each unit has energy-efficient appliances, including washer & dryers.
The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Refreshments and snacks will be provided, and RANCHO’s housing personnel will be present to answer any questions, and will have applications available for those interested.
If you have any questions, contact RANCHO Housing Manager Bertha Rodriguez at 391-5050 ext. 246. For media inquiries, contact Jeff Hays, Executive Director at 391-5050 ext.222.
