Resource Fair Comes to Thousand Palms Saturday

Riverside County Code Enforcement and Coachella Valley Recreation and Parks District have joined forces to bring the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms a much needed resource fair.  All residents of Thousand Palms are invited to participate and learn more about programs and resources that are available as well as enjoying a fun day filled with activities.  And best of all it’s free.

This Saturday, November 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
Thousand Palms Community Park on Robert Road.

The mission of this resource fair is to give an opportunity for residents to find out about programs and opportunities currently available.  Some of those agencies include, the Social Security Administration, Economic Development Agency, Riverside County Board of Supervisors, Alzheimer’s Association, College of the Desert, Department of Animal Services, Catholic Charities, DPSS Adult services, DPSS Sheltering Palms Foster Family Agency and much more.

There will be a Petting Zoo for kids of all ages, sponsored by Friends of the Thousand Palms Library and Rabobank.  Face Painting for the kids, sponsored by Coachella Valley Recreation and Parks District, Food and Drinks, sponsored by Costco.  Lots of room for kids to play and dogs to run. Grand Prize includes 2 -4 group round of golf at The Club at Shenandoah Springs.

Make it a family fun day.  Free food, free information and free activities.  It’s a winning format.
