Womens Commission Sponsors Luncheon on Collaboration

The Riverside County Commission for Women is hosting a luncheon and workshop to provide necessary tools for sharing resources and tips for grant writing to local non-profit organizations.

The Commission for Women works on issues that concern women and children including prenatal care, child care, violence against women, and sexual harassment. The Riverside County Board of Supervisors appoints two commissioners from each of the five districts to serve on the panel.

The Commission’s luncheon and workshop, called “Women’s Wellness—Building Bridges,” is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Annenberg Center at Eisenhower Medical Center. Desert Healthcare District Board Vice President Kay Hazen will be providing the tools necessary to collaborate with other organizations. Tips on grant writing will be a focus of her presentation. A variety of funding organizations and individuals will be in attendance as well.

This free luncheon, sponsored by the Commission for Women, CVAG, Desert Healthcare District and the Regional Access Project, is by invitation only. For more information please contact Supervisor Roy Wilson’s Office at (760)863-2556.
