Annual Palo Verde Valley Outlook Conference set for March 5
There aren’t too many annual events around which have passed their golden anniversary, but the Palo Verde Valley Community Outlook Conference has been around quite a while.
The 52nd installment of the Conference is set to take place on Thursday, March 5 at a variety of venues within the Blythe area.
The event is a snapshot of what’s happening in the Fourth District’s easternmost community, including construction activity, developments in commerce, education and housing, and much more. Each year, the day’s activities start with the Community Outlook Golf Tournament at the Blythe Municipal Golf Course. Participants may opt instead to take a bus tour of the Palo Verde Valley, which runs a couple of hours (it’s a big valley).
Many out of town attendees opt to spend the night Wednesday—especially those who want to participate in the 7 a.m. tee-off of the golf tournament—and a variety of quality motels are available. But they fill up fast.
Preregistration at $60 (includes golf) or $25 (lunch only) runs through Feb. 27. Contact the Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce, at (760) 922-8166, for more information about this year’s event and how you can participate.
