Thousand Palms Residents to Air Enforcement Concerns
The residents of the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms are invited to attend a town hall-style meeting in which a variety of subjects regarding enforcement of traffic, graffiti abatement and other community issues will be discussed.
Representative of the County Departments of Code Enforcement and Transportation, the County Fire and Sheriff’s Department, and the California Highway Patrol will be on hand to answer a variety of questions. The meeting gets under way at the Riverside County Code Enforcement office at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 31290 Plantation Drive in Thousand Palms.
Topics on the agenda include:
1. Speeding along Robert Road
2. Safety of School Children Being Dropped Off on Robert Road
3. Crossing Guards - Can Volunteers Legally Perform This Function?
4. The Residential Parking “Shell Game.”
5. Graffiti, Vandalism, and the Sheriff’s Department Response When Called/Graffiti Hotline,
etc.
6. The Citizens on Patrol Program.
Concerned citizens are invited to attend and ask questions.
