Community Cleanups Set for Communities of Ripley and Mesa Verde

Thanks to Community Block Grant Fund money secured by the Code Enforcement Department, the Communities of Ripley and Mesa Verde will each receive a cleanup in the next few weeks.

The Ripley cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, and the Mesa Verde event will take place Saturday, April 11. The CDBG grant also funded cleanups in the two communities last fall.

Riverside County Code Enforcement and Palo Verde Disposal with the support of Supervisor Roy Wilson have joined forces to give the unincorporated communities the opportunity to get rid of bulky trash items including tires without rims for free. The County invites all residents within Ripley and Mesa Verde to participate; proof of residence will be required.

The Ripley drop--off on March 28th is the lot in front of the old cotton mill on the east side of Neighbors Blvd., and the drop-off site for the April 11 Mesa Verde event is the northwest corner of Mesa Drive and Pepper.

Both events run from 8 a.m. till noon. For more information, contact Betty Sanchez at 760 343-4636 or at besanche@rctlma.org.
