Homeownership Classes for Buyers and Sellers coming to Pass Area

A homeownership class offered to county employees and residents will be coming to Banning and San Jacinto during April.

The Riverside County Homeowner Educational Learning Program (RC’s HELP) is a free seminar aimed at helping employees and residents prevent foreclosure. The seminar also provides information for people considering short sales or bank-owned properties. 

The workshop will also discuss opportunities for interested homebuyers through the federal stimulus package. It will also warn homebuyers to avoid scammers promising foreclosure assistance for large fees. 

The two-hour event is free and open to the public. The following is the schedule for the two workshops offered:

I Want to Keep My Home: 

April 1: 5-7 p.m. Banning Child Protective Services, 401 W. Ramsey St., Conference Room1, Banning
April 18: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Valley Wide Parks and Recreation, 901 West Esplanade, San Jacinto. Bilingual staff and translation will be available.

How Do I Purchase a Home in Today’s Market?

April 15: 5 - 7 p.m. Banning Child Protective Services, 401 W. Ramsey St., Conference R Room 1, Banning April 18: 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Valley Wide Parks and Recreation, 901 West Esplanade, San Jacinto

Participants will hear from a panel of volunteer experts about topics that range from current market conditions, understanding property taxes, and the home-buying process.
