Coachella Valley Residents: Get Rid of that Old, Dirty Gas Mower
Coachella Valley residents fall underneath the umbrella of the South Coast Air Quality Management District . . . and thus residents can claim a new electric mower for a small price when trading in their old gas-powered smog-belchers.
Registration for the 2009 Lawn Mower Exchange Program will begin on
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 8 a.m.
Residents living within AQMD's 4-county jurisdiction* will be able to register to turn in their old, but still working, gas lawn mower and purchase a cordless, rechargeable, electric lawn mower at a greatly reduced price. Three models will be available for you to choose from when you register. Links to the manufacturers are available below. The models and prices are:
