The 4th Annual “Salute to Veterans Parade to Step Off in Riverside

The 4th Annual Salute to Veterans Parade in downtown Riverside honors veterans of all ages and eras. It’s set for Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. till noon, running from Riverside Community College along Magnolia to Market. The Parade then makes at right on 10th, another right on Main and ends near the historic Riverside County Courthouse.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Medal of Honor recipient Lewis Millett, U.S. Army (Retired). Bands for this year’s parade include the North High School Blue Star Regiment Marching Band, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band from Miramar Naval Air Station, the Riverside Concert Band, the UCR Pipe Band and the Mt. Fife & Drum Corp from Lake Arrowhead.

This year’s Parade is expected to have more than 100 entries, including bands, flyovers, equestrian units, color guards, marching units, antique cars, military vehicles, floats and, of course, veterans.
