The Smile Factory to Offer Free Dental Screenings on April 15
The Smile Factory Foundation will participate in a multi-organization Children’s Health Celebration on April 15 th at the Palm Desert-based Healthy Family Clinic from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Smile Factory Foundation’s mobile dental clinic unit will be onsite at the Healthy Family Clinic from April 13-17 to provide free vital dental screenings and treatment for children between the ages of 2 and 11 years old. The Smile Factory Foundation will join several other local organizations for this event including:
Desert Outreach Foundation who will provide Teddy Bears for each child who receives dental screenings;
Reach Out and Read Literacy Program who will provide bi-lingual readings in the Clinic’s Winnie the Pooh Room;
Dr. Ramos Pediatric Practice will be open for office visits;
Kohl’s Department Store will be giving children plush toys and books; and
Farmer’s Insurance will be providing Child Identification Kits to parents.
The Smile Factory Foundation’s mission is: “Improving Children’s Futures, One Smile at a Time.”
With its mobile dental clinic, the Palm Desert-based Smile Factory provides free dental treatment for children between the ages of 4 and 11 at 18 elementary schools in Palm Springs Unified School District, 20 elementary schools in the Desert Sands Unified School District, as well as kindergarteners in Coachella Valley Unified School district.
Each year the Foundation provides free screenings, treatment and oral healthcare education to approximately 17,000 children and a range of individual dental services to more than 2,000 children who are in need. First 5 Riverside provides partial funding to screen and treat children from infancy to age 5, while additional funding partners include the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the cities of Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Riverside County of Economic Development Agency and Supervisor Roy Wilson.
