Riverside County Water Symposium Set for May 28 in Palm Springs
With the State of California struggling with a shrinking water supply, local districts and agencies need to prepare for the challenges facing the region.
To this end, for the past five years, the Riverside County Water Symposium has focused on the challenges of supplying water to our region as the County grows and as we continue to draw heavily from our groundwater supplies.
The 6th edition of the Symposium, hosted by Fourth District Supervisor Roy Wilson, Fifth District Supervisor Marion Ashley, and Chairman of the Board Jeff Stone from the Third District, takes place May 28, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
This year, the focus will be on identifying financial and political solutions to the challenges that confront our regional water supply, also on exploring ways we can capture, conserve and reuse this most precious natural resource.
