Southern California Public News Station Probes Valley Economy
On Thursday, April 30, 89.3 KPCC-FM's AirTalk travels to Palm Desert for a community forum to examine the effects of the recession on the lives and livelihoods of Coachella Valley residents.
AirTalk Host Larry Mantle will moderate a panel of civic leaders including Roy Wilson, Riverside County Supervisor, Yvonne Parks, Mayor of Desert Hot Springs and Kay Hazen, head of the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership. The forum will begin at 7 p.m., and will be broadcast on Monday, May 4 at 11 a.m.
This program will be taped in the auditorium at the UCR Graduate Center, 75-080 Frank Sinatra, Palm Desert, CA 92211. The public is invited to attend. RSVP at airtalk@kpcc.org.
