Mecca ‘Day of the Child' Resource Fair Wednesday
There will be a lot of smiling little faces in Mecca this Wednesday, April 29 for the Mecca “Day of the Child Resource Fair”. Children and their families will have the opportunity to participate in games, raffles, arts and crafts, contests, enjoy entertainment and food—all free.
The Resource Fair’s goal is to help families connect with their local community resource representatives. More than 50 non-profit and public agencies are expected to participate in this event with more than 3,500 participants in attendance from the surrounding communities of Mecca, North Shore, Thermal, Oasis and Vista Santa Rosa.
Hosts for the affair include the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services, Children’s Services Division, Mecca Family & Farmworkers’ Service Center and the Mecca FRC Advisory Board, Coachella Valley Unified School District-ASES Program, Desert Recreation District, Riverside County Economic Development Agency and Supervisor Roy Wilson.
The fair runs from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Mecca Family Service Center & Community Health Clinic Courtyard, 91-275 Avenue 66 in Mecca.
