Two New Swine Flu Cases in Rivco; Della Lindley School Closed
Two additional probable cases of swine flu have been identified in Riverside County, bringing the total number of cases to six, public health officials announced today.
One case is a 10-year-old girl from Thousand Palms who recently traveled to Mexico. Health officials are confirming information about the other cases and no details are available at this time. Della S. Lindley Elementary School is, as a result, closed until May 12, on the recommendation of the public health agency.
Some good news: The other case, also a 4 th District victim, is an as-yet unidentified 30-year-old male who has since recovered and is now back at work. We’ll have more information on this case when it becomes available.
As information is confirmed it will be released via media advisory and added to the county's swine flu web page at http://news.co.riverside.ca.us/swineflu/.
