Animal Services Launches ‘We SPOT You’ Campaign
The County of Riverside’s Animal Services Department launched its “We SPOT You!” campaign.
What, exactly, does “We SPOT You!” mean? Well, the employees at the Animal Services know that there are many wonderful pet owners throughout Riverside County, and so this month they’r e going to try to recognize as many great pet owners as possible. OK, OK, it’s understood in some cases the true “owners” are the pets themselves and not the humans.
“We love seeing dog owners walk their best friend, and we love it when cat owners come in to microchip their Tabby or Calico, and we love it when people renew their dog license,” said John Welsh, Public Information Chief for the County’s Animal Services Department. “And we super-duper love it when someone comes into one of our shelters to adopt one of our homeless pets.
When Animal Services personnel SPOT you, they’ll put your name in an opportunity drawing. Each week, they’ll randomly select a handful of names from the list. The people whose names are selected will score one of the department’s very popular “More Love by the Pound” T-shirts.
Animal Control Officers, license inspectors, front-counter staff members – even some Animal Services volunteers – are going to seek out pet owners throughout the region.
Residents can also submit names of friends or neighbors that they know to be wonderful pet owners. Pick up a flier at the shelter or print one out from our web site, www.rcdas.org.
