Desert Rec District’s Tiny Tots Program Equals Big Fun
“Tiny Tots,” a Desert Recreation District program which has provided a fun and memorable first school experience for many generations, is entering its 2009 summer season. It’s a fun, affordable way to help prepare children for the big time: kindergarten.
Activities include stories, games, music, arts and crafts that give children a chance to build skills and learn about group dynamics. Children are taught by experienced recreation leaders in fully equipped classrooms and well maintained playground areas. Desert Recreation’s tiny tot team was honored by fellow team members this year with an Outstanding Group Recognition Award. This group of dedicated and passionate professionals has developed a life-enriching curriculum that has been helping pre-school aged children thrive in a fun, positive, safe environment.
The Tiny Tots program has opened registration for the summer series, which runs from June 15 through August 14. Tiny Tot Programs are offered from 9 a.m. till noon. Indio and Palm Desert Community Centers offer either a Monday, Wednesday and Friday class or a Tuesday and Thursday class. La Quinta Community Center offers a Monday through Thursday class.
