Rancho Mirage Library Presents Songs of the Silver Screen
Tom Hiatt and the Sundown riders will perform cowboy classics including Tumbling Tumbleweeds, Ghost Riders in the Sky and Back in the Saddle Again in an evening filled with olde time western cowboy nostalgia. In addition, stills from old movie and TV westerns featuring silver screen cowboys such as Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and Rex Allen will be accompanied by songs sung by the Sundown Riders.
Cowboy balladeer Tom Hiatt is a true Son of the West, and he enthralls audiences with the images of magnificent landscapes, cowboys, outlaws, pioneers, and wild broncos which his warm, sensitive voice evokes. He has performed on television and radio, and at universities, rodeos, and museums from the Rockies to the Smokies and all places in between.
Admission to Songs of the Silver Screen is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Rancho Mirage Public Library.
