Annual Healing Field Event Slated for November in Cathedral City
The Rotary Club of Cathedral City will be presenting the 4th annual Healing Field this November 8-15 at Patriot Park. This week long event will honor the 5,200+ men and women who have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001.
Beginning at noon on Sunday, November 8th, flags will be placed throughout the park for each of these heroes. Every name will be read and every person remembered. Additionally, the United States Marine Corp Band and Honor Guard, the Lions Royal Regiment band from Cathedral City High School, Cathedral City Police and Fire Department Honor Guards, and the Marine Corps General from 29 Palms Marine base will be present.
Your help is needed! Volunteers to read names, place flags, maintain and secure the field over the week, are all welcome. Financial support is also being requested. Burrtec Waste and Toyota of the Desert have already signed up as sponsors, but more are needed.
