Desert Recreation District Invites Residents to ‘Come on Down’
Do you watch game shows every night and yell answers at your TV? Do you ever wish you could be part of the live studio audience? Then "Come on Down!" with Desert Recreation District during their Road Trips to see three of the most popular game shows.
The Desert Recreation District has arranged a special series of Road Trips to view (and perhaps even participate in) some of America's most popular game shows in Los Angeles. For a nominal fee, you and your friends will be able to ride a chartered bus to the Los Angeles area to view the taping of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, or The Price is Right. You don't have to worry about driving, traffic or parking. The Desert Recreation District takes care of it all.
Trip details: All shows will depart and return to the District’s Palm Desert Community Center location. All trips are for ages 18 years and older. All persons must bring a legal photo ID and social security card. Jeopardy on Oct. 14 will have a 10:30 a.m. departure with an 8:30 p.m. return and cost $49 per person. At this taping, you must dress to impress, No T-shirts allowed. Wheel Of Fortune on Nov. 20, with an 11a.m. departure and 9 p.m. return will also cost $49 per person. The Price is Right on Dec. 8 has a 6 a.m. departure with a 9 p.m. return and cost of $69 per person. Participants on this trip will also get to spend some time at the Grove in Los Angeles to do some Christmas shopping as part of their trip.
Desert Recreation District has served the residents of the Coachella Valley since 1950 and is a public provider of recreational programs, activities and special events.
