University Transfer Fair set for Oct. 14 at College of the Desert

College of the Desert’s (COD) Counseling Department and Transfer Center are again presenting its annual University Transfer Fair (formerly known as College and University Day) at the Hilb Student Center on COD’s main campus in Palm Desert.

Representatives from twenty-six (26) colleges and universities are scheduled to have information tables set up in the Hilb Student Center on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The reps will be available to answer questions, pass out flyers, and inform students of their various programs. This will not be an application workshop, nor will they be accepting applications from prospective students.

This free event is also open to the general public. Appointments are not required, but students should come prepared to seek information and have a list of questions to ask the college recruiters of interest.

Attached is a list of colleges attending. There will also be tables manned by COD staff to represent their individual programs such as A.C.E.S., Financial Aid, MiniCorps, Scholarships, E.O.P.S./C.A.R.E. and Liberal Studies.

Colleges planning to attend include: California State University System (CSU) - Chico State, Humboldt State, Cal State San Bernardino/PDC and the Main Campus, as well as their Registered Nursing Program, and Cal State San Marcos; University of California System (UC) – UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara; Independent and Private Universities – Argosy University, the Art Institute of California, Azusa Pacific University, Cal Baptist University, Chapman University, Cleveland Chiropractic College, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Holy Names, International U. of Nursing, La Sierra University, Loma Linda University, University of Phoenix, San Diego Christian College, Sierra Nevada College, and Smith College.
