Supervisor Benoit Announces Vacancies
PALM DESERT – Riverside County Supervisor John J. Benoit is seeking residents interested in serving on county councils, boards, and commissions. There are currently vacancies on each of the following boards: Commission for Women, County/City Arroyo-Watershed Committee, Mecca Community Council, Mental Health Board, Riverside County Regional Park and Open Space District Advisory Commission, Veterans Advisory Board, Vista Santa Rosa Community Council, and two vacancies on the County Service Area 104 Advisory Council (Sky Valley CSA) and the IID Energy Consumers Advisory Committee.
“I am looking for dedicated Fourth District residents who are available and willing to share their time and expertise to serve on these boards,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “These appointed positions are wonderful opportunities to serve and shape your community.”
These various boards and commissions provide guidance and recommendations for issues ranging from women’s well-being to county services in unincorporated areas.

Supervisor John J. Benoit represents the Fourth District on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Stretching from the Palm Springs area south to the Salton Sea and east to the Colorado River, it is the largest geographical district in the county.
Please note: Supervisor Benoit’s Office will be closed every Friday through June 30, 2010 per order of the Board of Supervisors on 7/21/2009. Benoit’s regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
