Supervisor Benoit To Host Home Preservation Summit
INDIO –Supervisor John J. Benoit will host a home preservation summit on Saturday, April 24, from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Fullenwider Building of the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio. Other presenters include Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder Larry Ward and Chris Sorensen, president and founder of the Homeowner Educational Learning Program (HELP).
“Owning your own home is a central part of the American dream,” said Fourth District Supervisor John J. Benoit. “A solid understanding of your mortgage terms will help secure this important investment. This summit is designed to enhance the financial literacy of homeowners to help them retain the American dream of homeownership rather than suffer a foreclosure nightmare.”
The summit will teach residents about loan modifications, short sales, foreclosures, real estate fraud, and offer one-on-one consultations with lenders and housing counselors. Reservations are being accepted at www.freehomeownershiphelp.org or by calling (888) 723-7099.
