Benoit to Tout Teamwork at Annual Park Volunteers Luncheon
RUBIDOUX – Supervisor John J. Benoit will speak on the theme of teamwork in local government at Wednesday’s annual gathering of volunteers and staff of the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District. The luncheon will begin at noon at the “Carriage House” of the park district’s Crestmore Manor headquarters in Rubidoux (4600 Crestmore Rd).
“Taking care of our parks involves tremendous and ongoing team effort,” said Supervisor Benoit, who serves as chairman of the park district. “I appreciate all the volunteers who gave 58,528 hours last year to keep our parks welcoming recreation areas for all to enjoy.”
Approximately 145 volunteers and staff are expected to attend the luncheon. Supervisor Benoit and Park District General Manager Scott Bangle will present Area Park Manager John Burns with a proclamation from the Riverside County Board of Supervisors honoring his 31 years of service with the district.
