Economic Blueprint Focus of Thursday Breakfast Program
PALM DESERT – Supervisor John J. Benoit and Thomas Flavin, president and chief executive officer of the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP), will discuss the Coachella Valley Economic Blueprint at the “Breakfast with the Supervisor” Thursday at Embassy Suites Palm Desert (74-700 Highway 111).
The event is hosted by the Coachella Valley Mexican American Chamber of Commerce (CVMACC). Registration is at 7 a.m. and the program begins at 7:35 a.m.
“I am glad to partner with CVMACC and CVEP to bring an insightful discussion about the Coachella Valley’s regional economy to this business group,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit.
“I am honored to have been asked to present CVEP’s Economic Blueprint and look forward to a collaborative relationship with the CVMACC as we work to improve the business environment in the Coachella Valley,” said Thomas Flavin.
Flavin has an extensive economic development background, leading organizations in Los Angeles, Denver and Seattle and serving as an executive in the broadband communications industry. As mayor of Burbank, Calif., Flavin received the American Planning Association’s award for distinguished leadership in 1993 for the city’s economic revitalization after the departure of Lockheed Corporation.
Previous “Breakfast with the Supervisor” programs covered the “State of the County” and “New Visions for a Restored Salton Sea.”
